DANIEL P. GARRICK, PH. D.
Partner, Software and Product Support Engineer
Daniel joined Theta Solutions in January 2017 after completing his doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University. His research involved development of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods to simulate the atomization of liquid fuel in supersonic rocket engines. Daniel brings expertise in numerical methods including solution strategies for linear and non-linear systems of equations, high performance computing, and processing and visualization of large data sets.
While getting up to speed on all aspects of animal breeding and genetics as well as the entrepreneurial side of growing a small business, Daniel has been busy on development of new and improved analytical tools for BOLT, consulting, development, and implementation of large-scale genetic and genomic evaluations, and is also responsible for development of TREE, Theta’s web-based genotype processing and parentage service.
